  • Mapping of schools and colleges was being done to further improve the education system in the State: CM 26-11-2016

    • Chandigarh, Nov 26 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that mapping of schools and colleges was being done to further improve the education system in the State. The mapping  would be completed by the month of January and wherever required, more schools and colleges would be opened .
    • The Chief Minister was speaking after laying foundation stone of Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan at village Bissar Akbarpur in district Nuh today. He said that the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme was being implemented in the State on priority basis.
    • He said that the State Government was taking prompt action for further improvement in the field of education. The State Government is focussing on opening new schools, appointing teachers and providing good education to children. He said that transportation facility would be provided to children of those villages where there is no school up to classes X and XII, to take them to nearby schools in other villages.
    • Regarding the demand of inclusion of Taoru area in Gurugram and upgrading the school at village Bissar Akbarpur from Class VIII to senior secondary level, the Chief Minister said that the decision in this regard would be taken in the proposed public meeting to be held in Taoru in January.
    • The Chief Minister urged the people to bring up indigenous variety of cows as it is the symbol of economic progress of the State. There are 432 gaushalas in the state with about three lakh cows and about 18 lakh indigenous cows in the State. He said that grant ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per cow was being provided to persons who set up dairy with five to ten cows. He said that cow milk plant has been set up in Kurukshetra and the indigineous cows’ milk and milk products made in the plant are being sold in the country.
    • Congratulating Chairman, Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan, Mr. S.P. Gupta, the Chief Minister expressed hope that this centre would turn out to be a hub of yoga, ayurveda and natural medicine. He also announced to give Rs 21 lakh out of his discretionary funds to the Sansthan.
    • On the occasion, Union Minister of State for Planning and Urban Development Rao Inderjit Singh also announced to give financial assistance of Rs 11 lakh to the Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan.
