    • For the promotion of native breeds of 'Hariana' and 'Sahiwal' cows, a Rs 119 crore project under 'Rashtriya Gokul Mission' and National Programme for Bovine Breeding and Dairying Development has been sent to Government of India.
    • Haryana to enact most stringent law for protection and promotion of cows by inviting suggestions from general public.
    • It will provide 50 per cent grant for mini dairies of native cows whereas 25 per cent subsidy is being provided under other dairy schemes.
    • To encourage farmers to rear 'Hariana' and 'Sahiwal' high milk yielding breeds of cow, a new incentive based scheme is being implemented for giving incentive money ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 to their breeders from the next financial year.
