  • BUILDING AND ROADS 20-02-2015

    • A sum of Rs 255 crore has been spent for the improvement, repair, widening, carpeting etc. of 659 km length of roads.
    • A sum of Rs 190 crore has been spent on the improvement of roads and National Highways under NABARD schemes and Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana,.
    • In state, 30 buildings and 37 houses have been constructed at the cost of Rs 94 crore. The construction work of 13 buildings has been initiated at the cost of Rs 110 crore. Construction work of 200 bedded complex in civil hospital Panipat has been initiated at the cost of Rs 31 crore.
    • In the tenure of present government, Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved six projects of 53 km long roads at the cost of Rs 60 crore.
    • Road over Bridge (ROB), Road under Bridge (RUB) and bridges have been constructed at the cost of Rs 54 crore.
    • Approval has been given to construct ROBs on Pinjore-Baddi road, on Rohtak road in Jind town, in Kaithal and Ambala on NH 65, Siwani Mandi on Hisar road, Pali on Rewari-Narnaul road, Loharu on Loharu-Pilani road, Jhajjar on Rohtak-Rewari railway line, Baldevnagar on Ambala-Shazadpur road, Barara-Chappar and Umra-Sultanpur in Hansi.
    • Under NABARD Schemes, for financial assistance, a project at the cost of Rs 354 crore has been approved by Standing Committee of Finance.
    • As many as six toll plazas located on State Highway have been closed which will provide the people with a relief of Rs 56 crore.
    • The work on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, which is pending for the past many years, will be resumed and the State Government will ensure its early completion.
    • Survey  to be conducted on 200  km long  Bawana-Sonipat-Panipat-Uchana-Indri-Yamunanagar Expressway along Western Yamuna canal.
    • Work on four-laning of National Highway-73 from Yamunanagar to Panchkula to be started afresh.
    • Five new National highways have been announced. These are Meerut-Sonipat-Kharkhauda-Sampla-Jhajjar-Charkhi Dadri-Loharu, Jhunjhnu-Chidawa-Narnaul-Ateli-Rewari (from Rajasthan border upto Narnaul-Ateli-Rewari), Dabwali-Hanumangarh-Paka-Samoka-Goluwala Kenchia, Shahpura-Alwar-Ramgarh-Nuh-Gurgaon and Sardulgarh-Sirsa.
    • Four new bus stands will be constructed at Karnal, Bilaspur, Tohana and Fatehabad.
