  • Plan drawn to make Ghaggar pollution-free by December 31, 2016: CM 30-12-2014

    Chandigarh, Dec 30 –The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that a plan has been drawn to make Ghaggar pollution-free, and the task would be accomplished by December 31, 2016. The Punjab Government has also given its consent for the plan.           Addressing the BJP workers after hearing the grievances of the people during his  maiden visit to Fatehabad today, Mr Manohar Lal said that efforts had been intensified to save the people from the polluted waters of Ghaggar river.           He announced a slew of projects for the people of Fatehabad, including setting up of a Solid Waste Management Plant on 25 acres of land and construction of a new bus-stand in Sector-5, Fatehabad, on 12 acres. He also sanctioned a government college for Bhuna; construction of block level stadia and new bus-stand in Tohana; a bye-pass connecting Hisar-Ratia road in Tohana; ITI in Jakhal; and a centre for Hepititus-C treatment and drug de-addiction centre in Ratia. The Community Health Centre, Ratia, will be upgraded to the level of 50-bedded hospital. He announced Rs 60-crore grant for the construction and repair of 62 roads in the district.           “Today, the BJP Government has completed 64 days of governance. I have visited all the 21 districts of the state and listened to people’s grievances. Grievances of public interest would be redressed on a priority basis. Our government would do everything in a transparent manner and answer the hopes and aspirations of the people”, he said.           Corruption-free governance and administration would be ensured in the state. Policy for zero tolerance to corruption has been implemented. Resources looted by the previous government would be made available to people as per law, and the poor and needy would have the first right on the resources, the Chief Minister added. He said that CM Window had been launched in all districts to redress people’s grievances in a speedy and efficient manner. It would also make the administration accountable to the people, he said.           Speaking on this occasion, Haryana BJP President, Mr Subhash Barala, lauded the functioning of the Chief Minister and said that with his style of working, the people had begun to feel that good days had come after the formation of the BJP Government.           Present on this occasion included OSD to Chief Minister, Capt Bhupinder Singh, MLA Dr. Kamal Gupta, former state BJP President Prof. Ganeshi Lal, former MLA Swatantra Bala Choudhry, other party leaders and officers of the district administration.
