Corruption-free system is the first priority of the state government:CM 30-12-2014
Chandigarh, Dec 30 –The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that the first priority of the state government is to provide a corruption-free system and ensure transparency in governance. Presiding over a meeting of district officers in Fatehabad today, he directed them to work to achieve the desired objective. People must be made to shed the notion that ‘All Are Corrupt’. The state will have zero tolerance policy on corruption. The Chief Minister assured the people that ministers and leaders would not indulge in corrupt practices. Officers indulging in corrupt practices, saying “Upar Dena Padta Hai” would not be spared. He told officers to exercise their powers with an eye on public interest. Addressing party workers, he said that monitoring committees would be constituted in all Assembly constituencies for effective implementation of the various schemes and programmes for welfare of people in the state. These committees would send reports to the government through the local MLA or minister incharge. Present on this occasion included the state BJP President, Mr Subhash Barala, OSD to Chief Minister Capt Bhupinder Singh, and MLA Dr Kamal Gupta, former State BJP President Prof. Ganeshi Lal and a number of party leaders and workers.
