Chandigarh, January 1–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said the state government is proceeding in the Wadra-DLF land deal case administratively as well as under the law. Speaking to media persons after launching ‘HarSamay, a citizen portal of the Haryana Police in Panchkula today, he said that the first priority of the state government was to ensure good governance, transparency and provide peoples a graft-free system. Initiatives like Good Governance Day, CM Window, CM portal, transparent registration etc have been taken in this direction since December 25, and it has increased people’s faith in the government, he added. Asked to comment on his meeting with IAS officer, Mr Pardeep Kasni, he said Mr Kasni had come to wish him a happy New Year. In reply to another question, he said that the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, will launch ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ programme from Panipat on January 22, 2014. He disclosed that more than 1,000 complaints had been received so far on CM Window. IT can play an important role in the elimination of corruption. In reply to a question concerning JBT teachers, he said that action was being taken as per the administrative system.
