CM will dedicate 'Haryana Physical Activities and Sports Policy-2015' to players on January 12, 2014 at MDU, Rohtak 11-01-2015
Chandigarh, January 11- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal will dedicate 'Haryana Physical Activities and Sports Policy-2015' to players on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12 at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. On this occasion Haryana Education Minister Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma and Sports Minister, Mr. Anil Vij along with other Cabinet Ministers and distinguished Sportspersons will also be present. While giving this information here today, Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12 would be celebrated as 'National Youth Day' all across the state. He said that a state level programme would be organised at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. On this occasion the Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal would lay the foundation stone of Synthetic Athletic Track and Hall of Physical Education and Sports Department. A sum of Rs. seven crore would be spent on construction of Hall and Rs. five crore on construction of Synthetic Athletic Track. The Sports Minister said that the players would be provided with sports facilities of international standards under the new Sports Policy-2015. Besides this, there is also a provision of 'Medal of Right' for sports winners. He said that after the implementation of the new sports policy, the medal winners of international sports events do not need to approach anyone for the purpose of job and awards rather they would get it as their right. He said that sports policy has been amended by keeping in view the interest of sportspersons. Under the new sports policy cash award for wrestling has also been increased manifolds.
