  • CM approved Widening the scope of benefit of pension of pre-2006 pensioners in the State. 2-02-2015

    Chandigarh February 2: In a major decision, Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has approved the widening of the scope of benefit of pension of pre-2006 pensioners in the State.          While stating this here today, an official spokesman said this decision would be implemented with immediate effect.             The spokesman said that according to this decision, the pension of these pensioners would be stepped up to 50 per cent of the sum of minimum of pay in the pay band and the grade pay corresponding to the pre-revised pay scale from which the pensioner had retired.             He said that similarly, the normal family pension in respect of pre-2006 pensioners or family pensioners would also be stepped up to 30 per cent of the sum of minimum of pay in the pay band and the grade pay corresponding to the pre-revised pay scale in which the Governmentservant had retired.  In the case of HAG scale, this would be 30 per cent of the minimum of the pay in the revised pay scale, he added.              He said that the decision is likely to place an additional burden of Rs 500 crore per year on the State exchequer.
