Chandigarh February 2: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today urged the social, religious, educational and other organizations in the State to adopt atleast one village each and develop it as a model village. In this way development of almost all the villages of the state could be made possible. The Chief Minister was addressing the Golden Jubilee Function of KLP College at Rewari today. On this occasion, he announced to give Rs 21 lakh to the college. He also announced to sanction 11 new posts of teachers in the college. With this announcement the number of sanctioned posts in the college has increased from 69 to 80. He said that on the initiative of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, the MLAs and MPs have adopted one village each for developing the same as model villages. Similarly, beside government officers, Yog Guru Swami Ramdev, Satpal Maharaj, Subhash Chandra of Zee News, industrialists Rudrasen Arya and various other renowned personalities have come forward for this cause. He said that any person or organization could step forward to develop any village as a model village. If needed, the State Government would also provide support for rural development in the form of matching grant. On this appeal of Chief Minister, the Management Committee of College offered to adopt two villages for developing the same as model villages. Mr Manohar Lal said that the State Government is committed to provide quality education to the Children in the State. He said that the India has a matchless contribution world over in the field of science and technology. India has also given zero and decimal to the world. As far as science is concerned, the Udan Khatola mentioned in our ancient stories is today’s aeroplane. Similarly, students from world over came to Takshila and Nalanda for studies. While lauding the role of KLP College in providing quality education, he said that it was commendable that the institution which started with the intake of 250 students has now about 3600 students studying in its four institutes and more than one lakh pass out students were serving in different fields. He said that efforts would be made to develop Rewari as a smart city. He said that Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi described himself as ‘Pradhan Sewak’ Principal Servant and his Minister was also working with the same spirit. He said that in Haryana he himself, his cabinet colleagues, MLAs and all officers of the State Government were working dedicatedly with the same approach. Minister of State for Cooperation Mr Bikram Singh Yadav, MLA Rewari Mr Randhir Singh Yadav, MLA Bawal Dr Banwari Lal, MLA Narnaul Mr Om Parkash Yadav and other senior BJP leaders were also present on this occasion.
