  • CM congratulated the players for winning medals in the ongoing National Games. 5-02-2015

    Chandigarh, February 5 – Haryana has so far bagged 34 medals including 22 gold medals in the ongoing National Games being held in Kerala thus getting the second position in terms of medals.           Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal and Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Mr. Anil Vij today congratulated the players for winning medals. Among the gold medal winners; Deepak Sharma, Prashant Tanwar and Sanjeev Rajput has won gold medal in 10M. Rifle Men Team of Shooting and Shivani Kataria has won gold medal in 200 M Free Style (W) of Swimming. Similarly, Preeti has won gold medal in weightlifting upto 53Kg Women and Kavita Devi in upto 75 Kg Women. Likewise, Ritu has won gold medal in Wrestling Free Style – Women 48 Kg, Priyanka in Free Style – Women 53 Kg, Ritu Malik in Free Style – Women 55 Kg, Sarita in Free Style – Women 58 Kg, Sakshi Malik in Free Style – Women 60 Kg, Anita Sheoran in Free Style – Women 63 Kg and Suman Kundu in Free Style – Women 69 Kg. Similarly, Sonu has won gold medal in Wrestling Free Style – Men 61 Kg, Manoj Kumar in Free Style – Men 65 Kg, Amit in Free Style – Men 70 Kg, Jitender in Free Style – Men 74 Kg and Somveer in Free Style – Men 86 Kg. Likewise, Rajender Kumar has won gold medal in Wrestling Greco Roman – Men 59 Kg, Ravinder Singh in Greco Roman – Men 66 Kg, Shri Bhagwan in Greco Roman – Men 71 Kg, Sonu in Greco Roman – Men 75 Kg, Yogesh in Greco Roman – Men 80 Kg and Manoj Kumar in Greco Roman – Men 85 Kg.           Among the silver medal winners, Anjum Moudgil, Meena and Shikha Dhall have won silver medal in Shooting 50 M. Rifle Prone Women Team and Meena has won the silver medal in 50 M. Rifle Prone Women. Similarly, Puneet Rana has won silver medal in Swimming 50 M Breast Stroke (M) and Shivani Kataria in 50 M Free Style (W). Likewise, Harjeet Kaur has won silver medal in Weightlifting Upto 58 Kg Women, Shubham Verma in Upto 77 Kg Men, Nikki in Wrestling Free Style – Women 75 Kg and Amit Kumar in Free Style – Men 57 Kg.           As many as 10 players have won 10 bronze medals including Harpreet Singh, Rahul Panwar and Wazeer Singh Rathee in Shooting 25M. Centre Fire Pistol Team, Deepak Sharma, Ravinder and Vishwajeet Singh in 50 M Pistol Team, Satyvart Kadyan in Wrestling Free Style – Men 97 Kg and Sonu in Greco Roman – Men 130 Kg.
