Present budget session has witnessed highest 13 sittings which was more than the average sittings of House during the last ten year: CM
Chandigarh, March 25 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal today said that present budget session has witnessed highest 13 sittings which was more than the average sittings of House during the last ten years.
The Chief Minister was addressing the members of the House on concluding day of Budget session here today.
While thanking the Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Kanwar Pal Gujjar, the Chief Minister said that Speaker has smoothly run the proceedings of the House in which members of opposition parties have been given more time for debate on various issues including budget proposals as compared to members of treasury benches. He said that every member has been given opportunity to participate in the discussions in the House. Discussion were held for about 1400 minutes out of which opposition has given 756 minutes and 602 minutes have been given to ruling party members.
The Chief Minister said that not a single member has been named during the entire proceedings of the budget session. Similarly, warning has not been issued to any member. It is rarely seen such a healthy debate in the House, he added.
He also thanked the members of the House for healthy debate in the budget session.
