CM inaugurated a hospital in Sonipat 29-03-2015
Chandigarh, March 29--Taking a dig at the ways of the previous government and reaffiring the avowed objective of his own, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today disclosed that in the very first month of formation of the new government, many people came to him with different kinds of offers wanting me to follow the old ‘give-and-take’ system. “But I showed them the door, saying our sole aim is to end corruption and give good governance to the people of the state,” he said. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a hospital in Sonipat today, he said that his government was committed to breaking the politician, officers and employees nexus for graft, and pursue the path of public interest by connecting the whole system with e-Governance. “The aim is to win the trust of people by giving them equal rights. We have to take the state forward in education, health and social sector. We have promised people jobs on merit basis and we are moving fast on this road,” he added. He hailed Nidan Hospital as a good initiative. We must imbibe the spirit of service from RSS and selflessly work to serve the people. He urged the hospital management not to take OPD fees from BPL card holders and the management immediately agreed to do so. Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, said that the state government was committed to providing education and healthcare facilities to the people. “It is an irony that even today the poor families do not want to get their wards educated in government schools. And a poor son would not like to get his mother treated in government hospital. The previous governments did not pay any heed to this but we will work to change this perception”, he added. The Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, said that the state government was working for the development of Haryana and providing people with all kinds of facilities. Others present on the occasion included MP Mr. Ramesh Kaushik, BJP State vice-President Mr. Rajiv Jain and former Minister Mrs. Krishna Gahlawat.
