Haryana Government has decided to start the process of Express Highway from Yamunanagar to Bawana (Narela- Bahadurgarh road) via Indri-Karnal-Munak-Sonipat: Chief Minister 7-04-2015
Chandigarh, April 7 – Haryana Government has decided to start the process of Express Highway from Yamunanagar to Bawana (Narela- Bahadurgarh road) via Indri-Karnal-Munak-Sonipat as the Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has accorded approval for preparation of detail project report for the same. This 200 kilometre long expressway would be constructed at an estimated cost of about Rs.1,000 crore. While stating this here today, a spokesman of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department said that the construction work is to be undertaken under National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) scheme. Out of the total length of this project, an estimated amount of Rs.850 crore would be spent on 160 kilometer falls in NCR area and about Rs.150 crore on 40 kilometer express highway beyond NCR area. He said that State Government has approved a sum of Rs one crore for preparation of the detailed project report for this so that the process to start the work could be undertaken at the earliest. At the same time, it would provide good infrastructure and would serve the interest of both the local population and the visitors.
