Shatabdi running between Delhi and Chandigarh would also halt at Sonepat and Karnal 15-04-2015
Chandigarh, April 15 – Now, the Shatabdi running between Delhi and Chandigarh would also halt at Sonepat and Karnal. The Union Railways Minister, Mr. Suresh Prabhu has given principle approval for this demand of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal when he called on the Union Railways Minister at New Delhi today evening. The Union Railway Minister also agreed for making Uchana as halt station for two trains running between Delhi-Ferozepur. Union Minister for Rural Development, Mr. Birender Singh, Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Agriculture Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar, Haryana BJP Incharge Dr. Anil Jain, Haryana BJP President, Mr. Subhash Barala were also present in the meeting. The Chief Minister today met with Union Railway Minister for various railway projects related with Haryana. Also, consensus was met on constitution of Special Vechile Purpose (SVP) with joint partnership of Haryana Government and Railway Ministry for new railway projects in the State. The proposed railway projects of the state would be carried further with SVP. Mr. Manohar Lal also discussed about the Railway Under Bridges (RuB) and Railway Over Bridges (RoB) with the Union Railway Minsiter and other officers of Railways. On the demand of Chief Minsiter, the Union Railways Minister assured that necessary RoBs and RuBs would be constructed on priority basis. The Union Minister also assured the Chief Minister in future there will be no unmanned railway crossing in the state.
