    Chandigarh April 27:  Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal said that the State Government is actively working on a policy to provide affordable housing facility to the people in the State and to ensure planned development in order to check the mushrooming of unauthorized colonies. Besides, he also approved the project estimates amounting to Rs 237.07 crores for various development works to be executed in different Urban Estates of the State.              The Chief Minister who is also the Chairman of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) was presiding over the 39th meeting of the Sub Committee of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) here today.                He said that out of the total, Rs 94.88 crores would be incurred at Panipat, Rs 42.83 crore at Gurgaon, Rs 12.90 crores for Panchkula, Rs 10.30 crores for Pinjore Kalka Urban Complex, Rs 19.31 crore for Taraori (Karnal), Rs 32.22 crore for Kurukshetra, Rs 12.50 crore for Safidon (Jind) and Rs 12.13 crores for Roz-ka-Meo (Mewat).             While a sum of Rs 49.63 crore will be incurred on the construction of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) for 30 MLD capacity and providing external sewerage scheme for various sectors for zone-II Urban Estate, Panipat, Rs 45.25 crores will be spent on the construction of second unit of Combined Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) of 21 MLD capacity for dyeing unit in Sector-29, Part II, Panipat. Similarly, Rs 32.22 crore would be spent on the  construction of RCC rectangular open drain paralled to Saraswati creek for sewerage water from disposal work at Sector -13, Urban Estate, Kurukhetra and from Public Health STP point to Syphon Narwana Branch Jyotisar.                           The Authority also approved Rs  19.31 crore for construction of 24 meter, 18 meter and 12 meters wide roads in Sector-1, Taraori in district Karnal, Rs 12.90 crore for construction of Director Sports Office building in Tau Devi Lal, HUDA Sports Complex, Sector 3, Panchkula including maintenance and defect liabilities period of three years (Deposit work of Sports Department Haryana), Rs 12.50 crore for construction of internal roads in Sector-9, Safidon, district Jind, Rs 10.30 crore for construction of 45 meters wide external roads between sector 27-28 and 27/28-30 of Pinjore Kalka Urban Complex including cost of 3 years maintenance, Rs 22.75 crore  for construction of multipurpose hall in Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Sector-38, Gurgaon, Rs 20.08 crore for construction of HUDA Country Club and Health Club Building in Sector-56, Gurgaon and Rs 12.13 crore for additional work for  augmentation of water supply scheme Roz-Ka-Meo, district Mewat.              The Chief Minister directed the officers to maintain quality standards while executing all the construction works.              Haryana Chief Secretary Mr D.S Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary Town and Country Planning Mr P Raghvendra Rao, Chief Administrator HUDA Mr Brijendra Singh and other senior officers of various departments were also present in the meeting.
