Women police stations would be set up in each district: CM 1-05-2015
Chandigarh May 1: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today announced that all women police stations would be set up in each district for making it easier and convenient for the women to approach the police station in case of any urgency. These would be made functional by Raksha Bandhan which falls onAugust 29, 2015 to ensure security and safety of women in the State. For this, recruitment of as many as 500 women constable would be made soon. The Chief Minister who was addressing the media persons on the completion of six months of the present BJP Government in the State announced that 5000 posts of police personnel would be filled up in the police department this year. He said that ‘HARSAMAY’, a 24x7 portal of Haryana Police has been started where anybody could lodge complaint online by sitting at home. He said that the State Government has given approval for 500 new bikes for the police department so as enable the police to make regular effective patrolling to prevent occurrence of crime. Apart from this, Road Safety Fund has been set up to strengthen traffic infrastructure and improve traffic education.
