  • Empowering of Panchayats for rural development and sanitation 1-05-2015

    • With a view to realize dream of Hon’ble Prime Minister of Swachh Bharat, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal launched Swachh Haryana-Swachh Bharat campaign, on the occasion Haryana Day on Novemebr 1, 2014, from district Faridabad, under which this campaign was run throughout Haryana from November 1 to 7.
    • Under Swachh Haryana-Swachh Bharat campaign target toilet in every household of villages has been set to achieve by October 2, 2019.
    • With the aim of localization of panchayats, there is a plan to set up information and technology competent ‘Gram Sachivalaya’. In Gram Sachivalayas for citizen services centre, bank, post office, market etc set sites will be made available. State’s first ‘Gram Sachivalaya has been set up in village Haibatpur in district Jind.
    • On the occasion of ‘National Panchayati Raj Day’ on April 26, 2015 ‘e-Panchayat samvad’ service was initiated at Rohtak.
    • In order to motivate people, decision has been taken to set up ‘Gram Gaurav Patal’ in villages, on it information like history of village, culture, martyrs, names of successful and eminent persons will be displayed.
    • A new pilot scheme named ‘Garvit-Gramin viaks ke liye Tarun’ has been launched in Jhajjar on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti on January 12, 2015 to bring positive social and economic changes in villages with the participation of youth in rural areas, which aim at making rural youth volunteers and to inspire other people to bring changes in villages.
    • In order to ensure quality of development works, the decision for inspection by third party for development works of more than Rs 20 lakh has been taken.
    • Under ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ (Rural) for the construction of individual household toilets, financial assistance has been increased from Rs 9,100 to Rs 12,000.
    • On the occasion of Rashtriya Panchayati Raj Diwas, five Panchayats were honoured with Panchayat Empowerment award by Hon’ble Prime Minister and gram panchayat of Nising Block of district Karnal was honoured with Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha award.
    • In order to realize dream of Adarsh Gaon of Mahatma Gandhi in the country, the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi launched ‘Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana’ on October 11, 2014, under which 15 MPs have adopted villages.
    • ‘Vidhayak Adarsh Gram Yojana and ‘Swaprerit Adarsh Gram Yojana are being initiated for the all round development of villages with the active participation of MLAs, distinguished persons and organizations. In this phase, village Sui of district Bhiwani on April2, 2015 has been declared as the first ‘Swaprerit Adarsh Gram’ of the state.
    • In the regime of Present Government, NABARD has released Rs 117.52 crore for Rural Infrastructure Development Fund.
