    CHANDIGARH June 2: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today said that ‘Haryana Antodaya Mission’ would be set up in the State to ensure that the benefit of welfare schemes being implemented by the State and the Central governments reach the poor people belonging to all sections of the society including the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes. Mr Manohar Lal, who was speaking at a state level function on the occasion of 617th Sant Kabir Jayanti Samaroh in Panchkula, near here today said that at present 45 welfare schemes of the State and Central Governments are being implemented for the welfare of the poor in the State. However, many people could not get the benefit of these schemes due to lack of knowledge and some other reasons The Chief Minister said that even after years of independence, some sections of the society were till feeling backward and unless this difference is not met, the foundation of a strong society could not be imagined. He said that out of five years tenure of his government, he would dedicate atleast four years in serving the society and upliftment of the Backward, the poor and those belonging to weaker sections of the society. He said that there are sections in the society which follows the ideals of Sant Kabir , Baba Saheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Sant Ravi Das and all of them have worked for the welfare of people. He assured that the State Government would take all possible steps for the welfare of weaker sections of the society. Mr Manohar Lal said that reservation quota provides for a minimum guarantee to a section of the society, but this should be given until those getting the benefit do not become a part of main stream. He reminded that even Baba Saheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar said that the benefit of reservation should be extended till the person standing last in the queue gets the benefit of various welfare schemes. He lamented that even after 68 years of independence of the country, the people are still deprived of full benefit of reservation and this is because of the attitude of neglect adopted by the previous Central as well State Governments towards this community. He said that the State Government is soon going to start the recruitment process in the State. A transparent system has been put in place for the same which would be free from nepotism and regionalism. Talent would be promoted and the corrupt practices including “black list, white list and under the table deal” would be discouraged. Apart from this, industries, small and medium enterprises would be promoted in the State so as to encourage youth towards self employment. He also congratulated Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for staring Skill Development Programme to provide quality skill training and professional knowledge to the youth to enhance their employability. Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Kabir Bhawan in Sector-27 in Panchkula. It will be constructed over an area of 1314.96 square yards at a cost of about Rs 4 crore. He announced to give Rs 22 lakh for the construction of this Bhawan. Member of Parliament Mr Ratan Lal Kataria announced to give Rs 11 lakh from MPLAD fund for the Bhawan whereas Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi announced to give Rs 11 lakh out of his discretionary fund . Apart from these, District BJP President Mr Vishal Seth, BJP leader Mr Krishan Dhull and Manager of Maya Garden also announced to give Rs one lakh each for the construction of the Bhawan. The Chief Minister also inaugurated Community Centre in Sector -12, Panchkula constructed at a cost of Rs 1.60 crore. He also inaugurated the Government Model Primary School, Sector 20 constructed at a cost of over Rs 1.76 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi urged the people to remain united. He cautioned that some divisive forces are trying to divide the people on the lines of caste and making their use for fulfilling their political motives. He also urged them to remain united and contribute in the development of the State. He lauded the Chief Minister saying that Mr Manohar Lal wanted to ensure the development of State and in doing so he is following the path shown by Sant Kabir. Member of Parlimament Mr Ratan Lal Kataria said that he has been raising voice in the interest of members of the community in Parliament also. He said that like Kabir Jayanti, Ambedkar Jayanti would also be celebrated with great enthusiasm. The programme would be organized throughout the State under guidance of Chief Minister. MLA Panchkula Mr Gian Chand Gupta, MLA Kalka Mrs Latika Sharma, Vice-President BJP and former Minister Mr Jai Narayan Khundia and BJP Spokesman Mrs Sunita Duggal also spoke on this occasion.
