University for Skill Development would be set up in village Gadpuri in Palwal-Faridabad: CM 8-06-2015
Chandigarh June 8: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has announced that a University for Skill Development would be set up in village Gadpuri in Palwal-Faridabad. He also announced that NIT-Badkhal would be made a Sub-Division and said that maximum underpass would be constructed on National Highway so as to ensure maximum connectivity between East Faridabad and West Faridabad. Mr Manohar Lal who was addressing a well attended ‘Pragati Rally’ at Badkhal in district Faridabad said that the State Government is working on the feasibility of the project to provide metro connectivity between Faridabad and Gurgaon. While striking an instant chord with the masses, he said that the present State Government is working with a vision of providing better education and health facilities and employment opportunities to the people besides ensuring graft-free administration. He said that he has an emotional attachment with Faridabad as he had started his public life from here in 1980 and is well versed with the problem of every street of Faridabad. Mr Manohar Lal said that earlier, Faridabad used to be a leading industrial area of the State but he lamented that the area has been neglected in the last few years. He said that the State government is soon going to roll out its new industrial policy under which every youth of the State would get employment opportunity. This new policy would also attract the big industrialists of the country and abroad to set up their ventures in the State. On the demand put forth by MLA, Badkhal Mrs Seema Trikha and Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr Krishan Pal Gurjar, the Chief Minister said that a sum of Rs 100 would be got sanctioned from Central Government for strengthening the sewerage system of the area. He also approved an amount of Rs 120 crore for strengthen of road between Mullah Chowk to Sohna. Apart from this, he also announced the transfer of office of Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs 50 crore, setting up of 66 KV Sub-Station in Surajkund and sector 21 D and Model School and Urban Health Centre in Mewla Maharajpur. Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr Krishan Pal Gurjar and MLA, Badkhal Mrs Seema Trikha also spoke on this occasion.
