In order to give reservation to scheduled castes employees, the Haryana Cabinet has given approval to the report of Raghavendra Rao Committee as per the decision of the Supreme Court. This would help the scheduled castes employees in getting reservation in promotion.
Cases filed against those scheduled castes who had struggled for their rights of reservation, would be withdrawn.
The Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana has been launched in the state to provide assistance up to Rs 41,000 on the occasion of the wedding of daughters of families belonging to Scheduled Castes, de-notified tribes, tapriwas jatis and widows of all sections of society living below the poverty line.
