Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today said that the present government is sensitive to the aspirations of the people and has been discharging its duty with a commitment to live upto their aspirations.
The Chief Minister was replying to the questions of mediapersons after the swearing-in ceremonies of new Ministers and Chief Parliamentary Secretaries here.
When his attention was drawn towards a statement made by a former Chief Minister describing the present state government as ‘Bedard Sarkar’ (means unrelenting government), the Chief Minister said that his was a sensitive government. However, some people were pained because they are hurt for having lost power, he added.
In reply to another question, Mr Manohar Lal said that with today’s expansion of the State Cabinet and swearing-in of new Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, the government would be able to serve the people in a better way. When asked about the functioning of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, he said that apart from going through the files, they have a lot to do so as to promptly redress the grievances of the people and cooperate in the smooth functioning of the administration. Every department has ample opportunities to work. The government has been working true to the spirit of "Haryana Ek - Haryanavi Ek" (One Haryana - United Haryanavis), he added.
