Chandigarh July 26: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal said that to inculcate moral values among the children, the State government has framed a new policy to start moral education in all schools in the State.
Mr Manohar Lal was addressing a felicitation function organized on the 36th death anniversary of Seth Jugal Kishore Lahoria at New Lahoria Senior Secondary School, Hisar today. The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Seth Jugal Kishore. He also paid obeisance to Goddess Saraswati.
He urged the teaching fraternity to give quality education based on moral values to the new generation.The Chief Minister exhorted the people that they being able and resourceful, they should make every possible contribution for the uplift of the society so that the basic necessities of the needy could be fulfilled. He announced to give a Medical Van worth Rs 10 lakh to Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
The Lahoria Dharmarth Trust announced to give Rs two lakh to Kanya Kosh set up by the State Government for the welfare of girl child. This amount would be spent under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Prgramme.
Earlier, the Chief Minister unveiled the statue of Swami Vivekanand at Lahoria chowk. He urged the people to take inspiration from the life of Swami Vivekanand and make their valuable contribution in building a strong society and nation. He also inaugurated a free medical camp, blood donation camp, eye check- up camp and free operation camp organized at the school premises.
The Officers on Special Duty to Chief Minister namely Mr Jawahar Yadav and Capt. Bhupinder, members of Lahoria Dharmarth Trust, teachers of school and other distinguished personalities of the area were also present on this occasion.
