Chandigarh, November 22 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that 1000 small and big industries have been set up in the State during past one year which have provided employment to about 40,000 people.
The Chief Minister gave this information while interacting with media persons in the Haryana Pavilion at India International Trade Fair, New Delhi today.
He said that it has only been one year of formation of BJP Government in the state. During this period, we have improved the system considerably, which would soon start giving results, he added.
On being asked about Make in India theme, the Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi has given this slogan to encourage all states and the new industrial policy of the state is also based upon it. Our main aim is to attract maximum investment in the State for setting up more industries thereby generating huge employment opportunities. In the coming time there would be investment amounting to one lakh crore which would provide employment to about four lakh youth, he added.
Talking about the new transport policy, the Chief Minister said that new buses would be plied on kilometre scheme. Besides drivers, recruitment for other posts would also be carried out in Transport Department so as to provide better transport facility to people.
The Chief Minister took a round of the different stalls of Haryana Pavilion and enquired about the displayed products. He also interacted with the artisans and sellers regarding their products. Later, he also participated in the Haryana State Day Celebrations at Lal Chowk, Theatre.
On this occasion, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Mr. Devender Singh, Chief Administrator, Trade Fair Authority Haryana, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department, Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr. Amit Arya and other senior officers of the State Government were also present.
