Chandigarh December 6 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that Arya Samaj had played a significant role in attainment of independence of the country and promotion of Indian culture, besides helping India achieve the status of ‘Jagat Guru’ again in the field of education. He urged all educational institutions being run by the Arya Samaj to adopt government schools so as to provide quality education to children and raise the level of government schools.
The Chief Minister was speaking in a State Level Arya Yuva Mahsammelan organized at Panipat today. He said that youth of Arya Samaj are established as a social power of the state and the country. This power should play significant role in promotion of the society. He said that patriotism is above everything and we should work by rising above personal interests. He said that organizations like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have been doing this work efficiently. He said that the foundation of this organization was laid in 1925. Like the Arya Samaj, the RSS also debates on yoga, patriotism and current issues of the country. He said that he was fortunate to join RSS in 1977. He said that government is always making efforts for promoting programmes pertaining to cleanliness, de-addiction, character building, female foeticide, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao and cow protection and urged that youth should also come forward to support the government in such initiatives.
The Chief Minister thanked the organizers of the function and announced to give Rs 21 lakh for the expansion of the educational institute. Paying floral tributes to the first Law and Justice Minister of the Country, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his Punya Tithi, the Chief Minister said that Dr. Ambedkar had devoted his entire life for the welfare of poor. Presiding over the function, Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Acharya Dev Vrat said that the concrete steps being taken by the Haryana Government would bear fruitful results in the future. The Haryana Government under the leadership of Mr. Manohar Lal is working efficiently. Transport and Housing Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar also spoke on this occasion.
