Chandigarh, January 19- Haryana Government will soon appoint a Japanese speaking officer at Tokyo to facilitate Japanese companies considering making investments in India. This was announced by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal while addressing media persons after half-a-day long one-to-one meetings with the prospective investors of the top companies and banks based in Japan.
The CEOs and top officials of the companies including Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India; Marubeni Corporation; JETRO; SMBC Nikko Securities; Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, and NIDEC were deeply appreciative of the Japanese call centre set up at 011-2334848 and 9868117683 and launched by Chief Minister on January 15, two days before his visit to Japan. He assured the Investors of every possible assistance from the State and have also personally invited them to participate in full strength at the forthcoming “Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit” being organized at Gurgaon on March 7 and 8, 2016. In response, the Japanese entrepreneurs and investors have expressed great interest and willingness to come forward and invest in Haryana. The first meeting was with Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India.
Mr. Muramatsu expressed keen interest of the Company in setting up a driving safety program in Haryana and have assured taking up an ITI for Skill Development Training. Keen interest has also been shown for investment in Research and Development and development of new models. The Chief Minister has requested one of the largest Banks, the Bank of Tokyo, Mitsubishi for sharing their customer data base and educate and divert them to invest in Haryana. Mr. Muneo Kurauchi, Advisor, Bank of Tokyo, Mitsubishi has assured that they will pursue the matter with the concerned officials and effectively Share information in line to promote Haryana effectively. Marubeni, Corporation, the largest trading house of Japan was requested to contribute in making State of the Art infrastructure in Haryana, especially in the Japanese Industrial Townships and powerplants. The Company has requested the State Government for its support and assistance in finalizing the feasibility entrusted to them by METI that is being undertaken by them in Jhajjar district. Mr. Tesuya Kubo, CEO and President, SMBC Nikko Securities agreed that a number of Companies which have their clients intended to invest in Haryana and that they would provide all necessary support to the State in supporting such investment flow into the State of Haryana. They also agreed to fund long gestation projects in the State which required long tenor loans and debt swaps. Mr. Hiroshi Furuta, Managing Director, Eternal Vision Co. Ltd was specifically invited to participate in the Happening Haryana Summit as a speaker for the technical session to be held for Global Smart Villages on March 8, 2016.
