Chandigarh, August 13 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, said that with a view to ensuring safety of women, women’s police stations would be set up at sub-divisional level on the pattern of those already established at district level, after completion of police recruitments.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a public meeting at Kalayat in district Kaithal today.
Accepting a long-pending demand of the people of the area, he also announced to make Shri Kapil Muni Mahila College a government college. He also announced construction of a mini secretariat in Kalayat sub-division and rest house of Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department. Apart from this, a stadium would be constructed over an area of six acres and a general hospital would also be established. He also announced that all pilgrimage sites in district Kaithal, including Kapil Muni Tirath in Kalayat, would be restored by the Kurukshetra Development Board.
He also announced Rs 30 crore for construction of 10 roads, Rs 10 crore for other development works in rural areas, and Rs five crore for municipal area. He said that sewerage and other amenities on the pattern of cities would be provided in five villages with population of over 10,000 in Kalayat Assembly Constituency. He also announced to give Rs five lakh each for ‘gaushalas’ of Kalayat, Bata and Khadalwa.
He said that under the new Enterprises Promotion Policy-2016, special grant would be provided to backward areas of the State in four categories. Under this, Kalayat area has been included in Category D. A development scheme is also being prepared for Kalayat under which a sector of Huda Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would be developed where people would be provided amenities at par with big cities. He also announced construction of building of powerhouse and increasing the capacity of transformers, besides construction of a community centre and reconstruction of drains and two bridges on the road leading from local anaj mandi to railway station.
Union Minister of Steel, Mr. Birender Singh, Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, and Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Bakhshish Singh Virk, also spoke on this occasion.
