  • CM extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day 14-08-2016

    • Chandigarh, August 14 –The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day.
    • In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister said that the country got freedom due to the struggle and sacrifices made by brave freedom fighters. He expressed his gratitude to the martyrs who fought for the country before and after Independence. This year also marks the 75th year of the ‘Quit India’ Movement'.  
    • The Chief Minister said the state government was developing an international-level war memorial at Ambala to preserve for the posterity the heroic sagas of the sacrifices made by the martyrs from the state who laid down their lives for the country. A symbol of patriotism, this memorial would continue to inspire the youth to devote their lives to the service of the country.
    • Urging the people to resolve to work together to build the country and the state, he said this year was of great pride and joy for the people of Haryana as the state was entering the Golden Jubilee year of its inception. "We should not only celebrate this year as a festival but also resolve to work together to ensure the progress and development of the state according to the principles of ‘Haryana Ek - Haryanvi Ek’ and ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’", he added.
    • "Let us all resolve to build Haryana where the farms and fields are lush green; where the wheels of industry keep moving; where no one is discriminated against; the youths are skilled; safety of women is ensured; and everyone gets equal opportunities for progress," he added.
