Chandigarh, Nov 12 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today announced to accord the status of Police District to Hansi Sub Division.He also hoped that like the favourable decision of the Supreme Court on the issue of Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal, the decision on Hansi-Bhutana multi-purpose Link Canal would also be in favour of Haryana.
The Chief Minister, who was addressing a well attended public meeting at new Grain Market, Hansi in district Hisar, said that there were two systems in a district, one is police and other is revenue. While some people are in its favour , some are against the demand to make Hansi a separate district. As decentralization helps in running the administration smoothly, even we also want decentralization. To begin with, he said that Hansi would be a separate Police district.
Buoyant with the gathering, the Chief Minister also announced a number of projects worth crores of rupees for the development of Hansi. He said that Haryana Urban Development Authority would develop three new sectors for setting up of industrial area in Hansi, village Dhana would be provided with sewerage facilities under Maha Gram Panchayat and the shops of auto market in Hansi would be allotted before December 31, 2016.
He said that Hansi, which is famous for historic relics, would soon be developed as Heritage City as the State Government has submitted a proposal for the same to the Central Government. He hoped that Hansi would get the permission to have a tag of Heritage city. He also announced that sewerage system of Hansi would be strengthened at a cost of about Rs 8.12 crore. Apart from this, Rs 50 crore would be spentd for strengthening of Petwar distributory and its sub-minors. A survey of O.P. Jindal minor would also be conducted for better management of irrigation water for fields. Besides, vyayamshalas would be opened in 10 villages of Hansi. He also announced Rs 2.70 crore for repair and maintenance of roads, upgradation of schools and boundary wall of water works.
The Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of funds for development and the present government is ensuring all round development of the state whether the Vidhan Sabha is represented by ruling party MLA or not. A sum of Rs 92 crore had already been spent on development projects in Hansi assembly constituency, he added.
Congratulating the people on Supreme Court’s decision on SYL canal, he said that SYL is lifeline of the State and with the decision in favour of Haryana, the State would get its due share of water. Like the decision on SYL, he hoped that the Court would soon give its verdict in favour of Haryana on Hansi-Butana Link Canal which would also largely benefit the farmers. Besides, in order to utilise the surplus water of Yamuna river during monsoon, the state government has prepared schemes costing Rs 2,000 crore.
On this occasion, Presidents of five Khap Panchayats also honoured the Chief Minister for the efforts made by him to effectively pursue the SYL issue in the Supreme Court, which is in favour of Haryana.
He said that BJP had formed the government with the support of people two years back. He had made about 2200 announcements during this period out of which 1200 have either been fulfilled or are in progress. He said that remaining 1000 announcements would be completed in Swarna Jayanti year. He said that he had sofar visited 80 assembly constituencies and would cover remaining constituencies by December, this year. The work on Rohtak-Hansi railway line, which was lying pending for many years, has also been started.
He also thanked the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for demonetizing the old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs1000 and added that with this decision smile can be seen on the faces of poor whereas the others are depressed. He also highlighted various schemes and programmes of Central and State governments including Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, infrastructure, Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan, Keroscne free Haryana and social security pension.
Speaking on this occasion, Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu said that the state is celebrating its golden jubilee under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal. The present government is working on the mantra of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek and Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas. He said that Mr Manohar Lal is the first Chief Minister who would cover all the 90 assembly constituencies in first two years of governance for development purpose. With the efforts of Chief Minister, Supreme Court has given its decision on SYL issue in favour of Haryana, he added.
State BJP President Mr Subhash Barala, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dr Kamal Gupta and former Minister Prof Chattar Pal, who was convener of Hansi Vikas Rally also addressed the gathering.
